Russel - I had to look up "bridie" on the web, and found it on an "ethnic cooking" site. But yes, that sounds like what I mean. Is the Blair Witch from Forfar, then?
"Ethnic cooking"... ahh, I needed a laugh this morning. But it really wouldn't surprise me if the Blair Witch was from Forfar... it would likely explain a lot...
As I recall, the three witches in Macbeth were scots. Also the one in Rent-a-ghost. (Is that a bit before your time?) And isn't Blair a scots name? It's all making sense now.
I half-remember rent-a-ghost, so it wasn't entirely before my time... And I'd forgotten about the witches in Macbeth...
A couple of years I went to see an amateur production of The Scottish Play, as those in the theatre must call it. It was one of the funniest things I ever saw. Bless em for trying, but when the "traitor's accursed head" turned out to be a tin of paint with paper mache features and made a horrendous metal clank as it was dropped to the stage, it kinda destroyed the drama of the situation...
Maybe she's really the Blair Atholl witch... that would really start to clear up the mystery (and the woods out near Blair Atholl as scary as shite, especially when you're filled with pints of Old Remedial from the Atholl Arms...)

This time I got it - it was shaky-cam, tears-of-fear, who-knows-what-the-fuck-it-was-all-about-anyway fest, The Blair Witch Project.
Ha! This time I win!
Sorry. Just surprised I got it so quick.
Well done Russel. You win a strange package wrapped up in twigs and vines, with a little pouch in the middle full of blood and something horrible...
Its a bridie, then?
Mmmmm... tasty...
