Is this a good review or a bad review? (Page down to bottom - where I belong.) Personally I love it. "Bloke lit gone bananas" - nice alliteration there. Shame it's not really bloke lit. (Or is it?) (Who cares?) Anyway, it was enough to make my day.

I didn't think that was a particularly good or accurate review. Alfred (if indeed that is his real name) has obviously taken time out of his busy butling schedule to cast an eye over a book he deems below his station. What with this and MacBride's recent review, I'm kinda longing for Maxim to come back.
You're right, Ray - it's on a par with the Sun's "one for the boys". But I'm not complaining. Coverage is coverage. And hey, I've had worse.
Well, let's put it this way, any review is a good review, and it's definitely not a bad one (sloppy copy-editing, 400 packets of cigarettes is equivalent to what number of UNITS of lager, 400 tins?). The last sentence is kind of weird. (I like books with orange covers.) Charlie, I can't WAIT to read FAGS AND LAGER! Lisa G. put a copy in the mail to me last week & I am going to read it the instant it arrives...
Cheers Jen. And I hope you like the book. Just don't expect subtle, sensual evocation (according to Mr Hickling).
